The G Persian scale runs 7 notes per octave in the world family. Below it sits on the Bass (6-String)'s BEADGC strings with every root marked, because a bassist reads a scale map as a set of targets around the root, not a row of dots.

Intensely exotic — two half-step clusters (b2 against the root, b5 against the 4) and a raised 7th make it the most dramatic of the world scales. Mysterious, ornate, and tense.
