Scales here are root-anchored maps of target notes, chord pages lead with the arpeggio and the lean voicings that stay clear down low, and every member of the family gets its own honest pages — the EADG 4-string, the extended-range 5 and 6, the octave-down Bass VI, and the bowed, fretless double bass, whose pages talk positions and fingerboard, never frets.
