Progressions in E — Bass (5-String)

Every chord the key of E contains, seen from the bottom: roots, distances, lines.

E major harmonizes to E – F#m – G#m – A – B – C#m – D#°; E minor to Em – F#° – G – Am – Bm – C – D. To the rest of the band those are chords — to you they are a map of root movements, and each one links to its Bass (5-String) page with the tones to fill the space between roots.
